Ocala Electric Utility to Host Customer Appreciation Day

Community,

OEU LogoOcala Electric Utility (OEU) will host a Customer Appreciation Day on Friday, Oct. 11, at Citizens’ Circle (151 SE Osceola Ave.) from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Customer Appreciation Day is celebrated and held in conjunction with Public Power Week, which runs from Sunday, Oct. 6, through Saturday, Oct. 12.

To show appreciation for its customers, OEU is providing meals cooked by its staff at the event, which will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Meals will be individually portioned for grab-and-go convenience.

This free, family-friendly event will feature activities, entertainment, and educational giveaways. Guests will have the chance to win exciting prizes, including bill credits that can be applied to their OEU customer accounts.

Attendees must have a City of Ocala municipal service account to qualify for prizes. Participants can spin the prize wheel to win utility vouchers with randomly assigned monetary values. There is a limit of one voucher per household, and vouchers must be redeemed with the customer service office within 30 days.

“OEU celebrates Customer Appreciation Day with heartfelt gratitude for our role as this community’s hometown public power provider,” said Doug Peebles, director of electric utility. “Your confidence in us drives our commitment to excellence in service and reliability. We are dedicated to offering safe, affordable, and dependable energy. We are privileged to celebrate our valued customers.”
