FMEA Statement Regarding Ongoing Power Restoration Following Hurricane Helene

“As of 9 a.m. this morning, Florida’s public power utilities have restored more than 430,000 outages since the onset of Hurricane Helene. There remain 44,586 public power outages across the state from a storm high of 253,973, and a peak of 1,240,968 total power outages statewide. We have made substantial progress toward restoration in all impacted communities. Crews will continue working around the clock to quickly and safely restore power to every customer served by Florida’s public power communities.”
