This position is in the process of being converted to a Systems Control Utilities Dispatcher. Responsible and specialized crew dispatch and tracking function work utilizing complex computer applications such as Customer Information Systems (CIS), Outage Management Systems (OMS), Mapping/Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Crew and Asset Management Systems (CAMS), and Trunked Radio Systems (TRS) to resolve problems. It requires knowledge, judgment, and application of utilities operations principles to evaluate, communicate, and assist in emergency trouble calls and restoration efforts of utilities services while maintaining utility information and records. Positions allocated to this classification report to a designated supervisor and work under general supervision with additional oversight and direction from the Distribution Systems Operator (DSO).
Work in this class is distinguished from higher classes by its limited scope of utilities systems operational responsibilities and lack of managerial responsibility and from lower classes by its required technical expertise, understanding of Electric, Gas, Water/Wastewater, and Telecommunication systems, coordinating utilities emergency response as needed with homeowners, business owners, landlords, property management companies, developers and contractors and advanced training on complex computer systems.

Weekly schedule will require attendance during business hours Monday through Friday.

A current, seven (7) year criminal history background check is required.

Candidate must obtain a Gas OQ qualification within six months of hire date.
