Electric Line Worker Apprentice - City of Alachua

GENERAL PURPOSE

This position performs semi-skilled to skilled work in the construction, maintenance and repair of overhead and underground electrical distribution and transmission systems. Employee is responsible for the performance of semi-skilled tasks in accordance with standard trade practices in transmission and distribution systems. Employee is responsible for assisting more experienced members of line crew. Work is normally performed under the guidance of an Electric Line Worker, the Electric Line Crew Foreman or Electric System Supervisor and is reviewed through observation, inspection and apprentice training programs.
